My husband wanted to have a simple smoothie with water. I could not believe he wanted just water with blueberries. I wanted to make something grand and decadent because after all I am accustomed to adding more than just blueberries and water. We just recently purchased a wheatgrass plant and was curious what the smoothie would taste like adding this colorful blade of grass. When I finished making the smoothie, I tasted the drink and boy did it taste sweet but smooth at the same time. Did you know that wheatgrass contains vitamin’s, amino acids, liver enzymes, and chlorophyll? Wheat is also a natural healer and can help fight cancer. - 1 Cup frozen blueberries
- 1 banana peeled and chopped
- ½ cup wheatgrass
- 1 cup fresh water
- Add all of the above ingredients in high speed blender.
- Pour the smoothie in your favorite glass.
- I trimmed the wheatgrass with scissors from the top of the plant that sits in my kitchen window and measured into a 1 cup measuring cup. I am amazed at how fast this plant grows with very little sunlight.
