Enjoy this perfect beverage for a warm summer day. I love having oatmeal for breakfast, but the summer mornings are now warmer. Why not try adding your grain to your cold smoothie? Try this fantastic method to continue eating your oats all year long. Have you heard the old saying, “Have your cake and eat it too?” Well, drink your oatmeal and your blueberries too! I know what you must be thinking, corny? Just berry, berry good! I think the vanilla extract adds a rich flavor without being too sweet. The maple syrup will give you the right amount of natural sweetness compared to refined sugar.
Here are some nutritional reasons why you should make this smoothie today!
1. Spinach has twice as much fiber as most other salad greens.
2. Blueberries help reverse age-related memory loss.
3. Rolled oats may reduce the risk of heart disease, and they are so simple to add to your diet.
4. Maple syrup contains the following minerals in a ½ cup serving:
– Calcium: 7%
– Potassium : 6%
– Iron: 7%
– Zinc: 28%
– Manganese: 165%
This week was an astonishing week, and one reason for that is, I am sharing healthy and delicious smoothies with all of you. I went to Chicago with my husband and ate at some fabulous vegan restaurants. I was so excited to taste some new entrees and smoothie’s, which I will share with all of you in my upcoming recipes. I want to recite the most incredible quote I read this week-
“ Only when you believe something to be impossible, does it become so.”
Charlotte Lily, Actor
That quote is so crystal clear to help pave our way in life.
